AMSTERDAM (AP) — The CEO of Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport has stop after a summer season that descended into chaos and flight cancellations amid employees shortages within the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. CEO Dick Benschop informed the board of his resolution on Wednesday night time and the airport introduced his departure Thursday. He says, “I’ve completed my absolute best, however we’re not there but. I do hope it will get higher quickly.” Benschop says he’s stepping down “to offer Schiphol the house to make a brand new begin.” The busy aviation hub on the outskirts of Amsterdam has been hit by enormous queues and piles of unclaimed baggage over the summer season trip months as air journey roared again after the pandemic.
